Just like yesterday but with better form.

Post-session

Blustery winter day. Wind swell pushing in with extreme east angle (there might also be a E-SE pulse working, as well). Some overheaders.

Post-session

Quite miserable. If you have a choice, go elsewhere (i.e., don't go to Town).

Previously

So yesterday had some head-high, but it was very weak and quite sloppy. Seemed like a new pulse.

Slightly better and bigger. Still awful.

Post-session

Just like yesterday--total crap--but slightly better because there was more wave action (i.e., there was more crap).

Post-session

Just like yesterday but junker because the onshore (SE) breeze is stronger.

Post-session

Very clean and very small (but doable). Crowded.

Yesterday...

Not bad. It was windy, but there was something. Perhaps head-high at the biggest.

Tardy

Sorry, forgot to post--again. Definite groundswell pulse hitting. I think it's that south they mentioned last week that was supposed to be here on Wednesday. It's small, though, about head-high.

Post-session

There's something, about knee- to head-high. The wind is blowing, but it's north-y, so the form was quite good. Seemed to be getting better when I left.

Gosh, it's windy outside right now. The gusts seem at least 40 m.p.h.

Excellent conditions. Knee- to waist-high.

Post-session

Forgot about posting . . . There are some small ones to be had. One spot, in particular, was looking quite rippable. It's not flat--yet.

Post-session

Surprisingly decent in the beginning, then wind turned west-y and form deteriorated. But there's something, about 1-2.

Post-session

New, faint pulse out of the S-SE? Seemed like it. Trades blowing moderate.

November 10, 2004 (Wednesday)

Post-session

Smaller. Still something, though, about 1-2. Trades at first, but seemed to be turning onshore when I left.

Post-session

Smaller. Excellent conditions (calm-light variable breeze, glassy and smooth water surface).

November 8, 2004 (Monday)

Post-session

A bit inconsistent but fun. Good conditions with light onshore breeze.

Sunday

Yesterday was boring. Nice conditions but weak and unchallenging.

Results

Open Men: first round, 4th place, eliminated. Senior Men: finals, 3rd place. The waves were small, about 1-2. In the morning the conditions were excellent; it got onshore-ish and mushy in the afternoon.

Here We Go Again

Off to Maili soon. Thinking I'm going to bomb, as usual, but more so because of how I was surfing yesterday. I was really kooking. My foot placement and stance were all wrong, and consequently my rail-to-rail was atrocious. In particular, my turns off the bottom and my cutbacks were constantly failing. It's not looking good.

Post-session

Surfed a left-hander to practice my backhand for tomorrow's event at Maili Point. I was surfing extremely poorly. Really, really badly. I kept digging my inside rail on bottom turns. Very discouraging.

The waves were pretty okay, though. Much better than it looked from the beach. About knee- to head-high.

The Day After

Yesterday was fun. There were waves and it was kinda like the prior day. Good conditions and some head-high (perhaps overhead) sets.

Have been finding it difficult to post as soon as I get home because I don't have my new routine set, and therefore I'm always in a rush to get to work. Barely have enough time to shave and change clothes. Will get it tuned soon.

Tomorrow's event scheduled for Maili Point is on. There should be something, I think, from the NW and SW.
