Post-session

Overall, about waist- to head-high. The sets seemed to be getting more consistent and bigger when I left. But very sloppy from the gusty wind and high tide.

I was shocked to hear that a girl was attacked by a shark at Diamond Cliffs yesterday morning. I didn't see anything on the news last night. My friend told me the girl was sitting on her board when she was knocked off and then bitten on the ankle by some kind of sea creature.

But doesn't that sound like classic shark behavior? Don't they typically first stun their victim by hitting/ramming them and then come back for a more direct attack? I've heard great whites do the same thing but the first move isn't a bump but a huge bite to disable and cause massive loss of blood.
