Here We Are Again

I had a good session yesterday. Surfed a left-hander, one of my old regular spots, to practice for today's event. It was fun. I was so-o satisfied with my surfing.

My backhand was rusty, yes, but I was executing pretty well, especially on the bigger set-waves. I did tend to struggle on the smaller ones, though. But on those outside ones, my backside attack came alive and I felt like I had never left my once-favorite break. The rights I took provided the platform for some good snaps, as well.

Overall, I'm quite happy with how things went. I hope I can execute like that today. I saw photos on the Web of yesterday, and it looks like it was going off at Kewalo's--both right and lefts. This has the potential to be one of our better events of the season in terms of wave quality. We'll see...
