News Flash

". . . Clark Foam, which supplies about 80 percent of the world's foam blanks used for shaping surfboards, was shut down for environmental and fire safety violations."

WTF!! You don’t have to be an economist, MBA, or surfboard manufacturer to know the immediate impact this will have on surfers. (Long term is another question.) Think about it. If you're like me and order custom boards, then you can see that things look gloomy. Getting a board at all, even if you're willing to pay huge money, is doubtful unless you're a pro. (What about epoxy?)

I'm extremely lucky to have placed my earlier order for two boards. They should be done already. At least, for sure, they've been shaped, so the blanks can't be used for someone else's order. Not that my shaper is unscrupulous in that way, but if you need to chose between filling an order for Sunny or me, what would you do?
