Initially nice conditions and decent form. Very inconsistent. Not crowded. Then sets died, and there was nothing. It got crowded. I had a few really-good rides, and that was it. Dismal session.

Fun at the A-framer. Pretty good angle--better than yesterday (more west). Just another regular for about an hour then only me for the remainder. Pretty consistent 1-2 with 2.5s. Kinda mushy from the sea breezes and rising high tide, but totally killable with some juicy bowl-ages and whackable sections. Actually, when the wind would slacken, there were some barrels to be had, but I didn't pull in. Had many good rides. The sun was scorching, and the water felt great. Other nearby spots weren't too crowded, which was very surprising. Overall, an extremely satisfying time.

About the same size or perhaps slightly bigger but extremely soft and slope-y. Definitely a day for the longies. Decent conditions. Not crowded.
Can't wait for tomorrow when all the college "kids" head back to the lecture hall. Go study your Chem 151 books, you punks. Wherever they go, they cause a crowd (via Boing Boing).

Disappointing. Slightly bigger but gutless and fluffy. Not as windy as expected but still blowing hard with strong gusts. Very sloppy/choppy. Outside peak was breaking but just barely forming up and cresting.

More wave action, slightly bigger; but very weak/mushy and slope-y. (Right-hander looked fun.) It was empty for most of the session, then it got packed. Fell off when landing an off-the-lip and put my knee into the rail and deck causing significant ding-age. Decided to go in after that to minimize water exposure to the foam. Felt less than satisfied. Watching from the car, it looked like it was getting better. I was bummed.
