Pretty much the same but slightly bigger with more wave action. Crappy.

Quite bad, my friends. Was not motivated to stay out long and didn't have much tolerance for the inferior quality after all the good stuff we had at the beginning of the week. Just didn't want to be there.

Smaller. A-framer. Lots of surge and moderately-strong rip current. Very odd. The rip is typical, but there was so much water flowing out and in a cross-chop. Not nearly as fun as the previous two days at Ms.
Three-people snowboard. I (we) need one.
Accident at Silva's: "Surfer rescued at Mokuleia dies at hospital." I wonder what happened?

Ms again. Pretty much the same but smaller. My friend and I were catching whatever we wanted and had it to ourselves for most of the time. Thoroughly satisfied.

Super fun at a nearby spot I'll refer to as Ms (pronounce: ems). Not crowded with lined-up, killable walls. Wave after wave with decent size. One bomb set on which I was lucky to barely squeak under the lip and escape a serious right-on-the-head thrashing. After that one, everything else seemed like cake. Surfed-out and burnt. We scored.

Bigger. Stormy but do-able and relatively un-crowded, then nicer weather and 60 people.

A-framer again. Smaller. Thought for sure yesterday was an early showing of the new SW that's supposed to be here Sunday. Light variables made for weak mushburgers.

A-framer. Surprisingly bigger and west-y. But it was disappointing because it didn't realize its potential. The conditions/form and size were there, just something funky about the angle.

Bigger than I expected. Seemed to be some kind of new energy, albeit weak and inconsistent. Did the A-framer with my friend visiting from North Carolina. It was a nice day, and the water felt great.
Started using some new fins today, the Vector II Black Stix FEAs. Been using the Black Stix 437s and love them, but sometimes, especially on bigger or juicier waves, I feel I need more fin in the water, as if the 437s will pull out. The FEAs are bigger. Hopefully, they will be the answer. They seemed to be working pretty well.

Mokes again. Same place. It dropped dramatically, about half the size.
I had more fun today because although it was smaller the form was much better. Had some really good rides, especially on the inside section. It wasn't crowded, and four of us dominated the outside. What was remarkable was that I saw many people from my regular town spot, and the four of us at the main peak were friends.

Surfed a right-hander at Mokes late morning with a friend. Variables were on it, but it wasn't crowded. I'll call it 2-4 with 5s and perhaps some rare 6s. Was getting bigger when we left.
Had the middle and inside all to myself. Once I settled in and found my bearings, I was snagging waves non-stop. After 1.5 hours, I was burnt, done. Seriously, I could barely paddle. Had some great rides. I'm surfed out. Might hit it again tomorrow.

A-framer. Beautiful day. Micro with perfect conditions. Superb water clarity for diving.

The Right-hander was empty, so I started there. Quickly discovered the reason no one was out. Paddled over to my regular place. Total awfulness. Just in case that wasn't sufficient cause to go in, it got packed with at least 50 people before finally I called it a day.

A-framer with a friend. Small and crappy.

Alone at the A-framer. Some juicy, doubled lefts. Although a dominant right, the A was serving up some wrong-handed frivolity--for a bit, initially, and then it turned to bunk near the end of the session.
Calling all kooks: tomorrow will be light winds with small waves. Make sure you get out there and clog the lineup. (It wouldn't be the same without you.)

Seemed to be getting west-wrap energy because there were some rare head-high with significant push. But overall it was awful, and any decent ones were so rare as to be useless.
Eyelid stickers: Where can I get some?

Smaller. A-framer with a friend to escape the crowd. Only the lefts were working. Satisfied.
Collapsible surfboard (via Gizmodo). Where can I get one?

New energy with solid over-head but very inconsistent. Wonderfully uncrowded.

Weak and painfully inconsistent at first, then much better near the end of the session with occasional over-headers. Pleasantly uncrowded.

Slightly bigger. A-framer with a friend. Rights weren't working at all. A few decent ones here and there. For the most part, boring and unchallenging.

Right-hander alone and then with several stragglers. Tiny but fairly clean. Handful of so-so rides.

A-framer alone again. Smaller and suck-y.
Oh, and thanks to whoever keyed my 2004 car. Now I have a nice bare-metal line running the length of my driver's-side rear-quarter panel that blends nicely with the factory gray paint.

Looked decent at most places, but the lighter wind brought more people. I initiated procedures for crowd avoidance and went to the A-framer. It sucked, but at least I had it to myself (which seemed at the time like a good tradeoff).

Some decent size but super weak and no push. Crowded--Kook City.

I was excited at the start because it was wonderfully empty--one other person--and although it was windy and sloppy, it looked quite decent. Well, it was weak and gutless. And it didn't take long for several people to make their way out. Near the end of the session, there was a smallish group at the main outside peak, and I finished off by groveling on the inside (which was an ignoble finale).

Frustrating. Kinda crowded (with regulars) and fun when it would come in. But I was always in the wrong place and missed a lot of waves. Definitely not my day.

Biggest in several weeks. Windy and sloppy but fun.
Got home in time to watch the game from the 3rd quarter. What an awesome finish, huh? The last minutes were nail-biting excitement. It was supreme athletic competition and entertainment enjoyment at its best (and only as our country can provide).

Slightly bigger. Word was we would be getting east wrap, which was allegedly already showing on the buoys, and that the wind would slacken. Well, the trades were blowing harder and we had much more wave action. I had fun--but can't say that it was all due to a wrapping groundswell.
