Session Recap

Really bad. My usual spot wasn't surfable. The high tide and near-flat, lack of energy meant groveling on the extreme inside for barely knee-high mushburgers (which we witnessed 10, or so, others doing as we stood on the beach watching for 15 minutes).

So my friend and I did Bs then Bs+Ms. We stayed out a surprising 2.5 hours. We were tired. It had been a relaxing and unhurried session. Didn't catch much, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Started at the A-framer then moseyed over to the Right-hander. Mark was catching all the waves (and wasn't sharing with Bud).

Did Ms alone. Slope-y and weak. It sucked. Afterward, up by the car I saw that the Right-hander was going off with only three guys. Gee, what a surprise: I made the wrong call. Oh well...

Didn't surf yesterday because I had to (unexpectedly) work all day. It was odd not to get in the water due to my job because that so rarely happens.

Today did the Right-hander because it looked good--and it was for about 15 minutes. During that time didn't score anything noteworthy because the regulars had the lock. I just sat on the side and bided my time. But it deteriorated by the minute, getting windier/sloppier and very inconsistent with agonizing waits. And it was packed with kooks. Eventually I got a few decent ones, but none were spectacular. Another disappointing session.

Did Bs+Ms with a friend to escape the crowd as our usual spot. It was so-so, but I had an awful time. Didn't get a single good one and was kooking out big time. Frickin' frustrating. Very disappointing.
